Padre Island Art Gallery is a woman-owned business dedicated to showcasing and selling artworks by local, internationally recognized artists. Discover our thoughtfully curated collections and be inspired by the captivating beauty on display.

Additionally, we provide commission services, allowing you to request a bespoke piece that is truly unique and tailored specifically to your style and preferences.

It may seem like art is just magically made, but in fact it is actually a lot of work! From conception, art direction and creation, to marketing and so much more, it takes a dedicated team to bring our talented artists' creations to the public.

Each artist at Padre Island Art Gallery is highly valued, and I am excited to collaborate with this exceptional group to bring their artworks to our community.

Painting and art in general fills me with immense joy and fulfillment. It is both an honor and a genuine pleasure to share my passion and business experience as the owner of a gallery representing nearly 100 extraordinarily talented artists. My mission for the gallery is to provide a nurturing space where artists can grow and thrive. As Georgia O'Keeffe said, “To create one's world in any of the arts takes courage. I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life, and I’ve never let it keep me from a single thing that I wanted to do.” This sentiment beautifully captures the vulnerability and bravery of artists and small business owners. If I can inspire even one person to grow and achieve more than they imagined, I will consider my mission a success.

 About my artistic process: I work with watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media, using different mediums allows me to explore my creativity in a multitude of fun and exciting ways. Each piece of artwork I create, whether large or small, carries personal significance. 

 My process is intuitive; I begin with a loose concept, allowing the artwork to unfold naturally. In my acrylic and mixed media works, I often start by inscribing encouraging texts or daily reflections on the canvas, paper, or gessobord. Occasionally, I incorporate fragments of vintage papers dating back to the early 1900s, infusing my art with a touch of history and renewal. 

 My wish is that the positive energy and messages infused into each piece of my art resonate wherever they may find a home.

​About my design process: I take great pleasure in digitally transforming my original artworks to create distinctive and unique designs for fabrics and other products. I also have a deep passion for designing logos, whether for new ventures or rebranding efforts. My work results in fresh, appealing logos that are both original and memorable, offering an innovative approach to design.

​

Vincent van Gogh left behind a legacy of inspiring words. Here are some of my favorite quotes attributed to van Gogh:

• "If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced."

• "Great things are done by a series of small things brought together."

• "I dream my painting, and then I paint my dream."

• "What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?"

• "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere."

• "I would rather die of passion than of boredom."

• "Normality is a paved road: it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow."

• "If you want to know an artist, look at their art."

These quotes reflect van Gogh's passionate and relentless pursuit of artistic expression, as well as his deep appreciation for the beauty and inspiration found in the world around him. This sentiment resonates with every artist. What an inspiration!
